The Proper Role of Government

The proper role of the government is to provide equal rights.
  • Study of US history shows how the government has directly either violated or supported the principles of liberty and prosperity
  • Who has authority? (Government) Who gave authority to the government? (The People)
  • People can only delegate authority that they already have
  • Delegation of authority is only for the sake of efficiency

If the government acts with authority on something that has not been delegated to it, then that is called  USURPATION.

Power is with the people, individually.

It is a wrong notion to think just because an entity is a government that suddenly it has power, and more power than the actual people.

Government gets its authority from the people to:
  • Protect life and property of those people
  • To create Police and Fire Departments
But NO authority to redistribute things

Government = An agent of the people
